ReAction Predator (Invisible) Blood Splatter for SDCC 2014

Another one! The Predator (Invisible) Blood Splatter Action Figure is coming to San Diego in a few weeks for Comic-Con International.  Funko will be selling it at their booth, and as we reported earlier Super7 will have some Alien items as well.  Conservative estimates have about 11 ReAction exclusives from Funko at the show, plus other 3 3/4-inch action figures of various degrees of retroness are coming as well - like Bif Bang Pow!'s colorized The Twilight Zone action figures.

Good hunting, and good luck!

Super7 Teases More Alien ReAction at SDCC

http://blog.super7store.com/2014/06/26/super7-at-sdcc-2/What's in the box? Nobody knows!  Super7 (not Funko) teased 3 buyable things - which will probably sell out in the first 20 minutes at the show.  This post teases some sort of egg-shaped thing, the box to the left (a playset?), and a totally blacked-out mystery box.

Seeing as Super7's exclusives so far have been a clear grey Alien as well as prototype blue Alien and Kane figures, it would stand to reason new deco could be a likely candidate for these sets - maybe even test shots of the remaining figures, or test shots for next year's new molds for Alien.  Who knows? Let's hope they make a bunch because I'll be sad if I miss them!

Funko Confirms SDCC Exclusive B&W Rocketeer ReAction Figure

Funko has many exclusives every year, and this year they're starting to tease out announcements.  It's hard to see but there's a Black & White Rocketeer sitting up there as one of their 2014 offerings - more ReAction figures are coming, but who?  We'll see soon!

Review: Super7 x Funko The Rocketeer ReAction Rocketeer Action Figure

Super7 x Funko The Rocketeer ReAction Rocketeer Action FigureIn the early 1990s and late 1980s I was utterly obsessed with Star Wars Kenner figures, so when The Rocketeer hit theaters the format made sense to me as a toy. Of course, the world moved on since 1985 and the 5-jointed 3 3/4-inch Kenner style is a strange choice for this Rocketeer figure. In 1991, we saw G.I. Joe begin its descent, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the rise, and it seemed the favored format for the mid 1980s to the late 1990s was the 5-joint 5-inch figure in Kenner's post-Star Wars style. It's strange to say this, but in many respects this figure (and indeed the future of ReAction) is marketed to guys who were big in to that old Kenner Star Wars line, like me. If you've got a Death Star Droid in your closet in a shoebox or a pile of yellowed Snowtroopers, this is a worthwhile purchase. It's a very satisfying, if simple, chunk of plastic.
