Review: Super7 x Funko Alien ReAction Ripley Action Figure
To say that this was a long-awaited item is nothing if not an understatement. Fans of Alien were simultaneously elated and depressed when Ripley was revealed in the 1990s within the pages of Tomart's Action Figure Digest magazine. The prototype photos gave fans a glimpse into the cash machine that was space toys inside Kenner in 1979, and the clear desire to expand upon what Star Wars had delivered. The few figures we've seen from this line were put on hold, and today some of us actually have recreations of actual, unmade 1970s Kenner prototype action figures. The sculpting style is very similar to many of the early figures from The Empire Strikes Back, with quilting, the usual flat facial detail, and in the case of some figures you'll notice the flesh overspray from the hands bleeding over to the arms.

Funko Announces 5 More ReAction Licenses, All Horror
On the Funko Funatic forums, Funko announced a ton of exciting new toys this week - but from where you sit, this quote is where all the excitement lives:
"Re-Action. I will let you know we are squeezing a last minute entry into our line for fall 2014..Horror. Freddy, Jason, Pinhead, Michael Myers, Sam from Trick or Treat and many more!!!"
Well, would you look at that! I added these licenses to our growing checklist of new figures and licenses in this style.

Super7's SDCC Alien ReAction Figure Preorders Shipped - Mystery Figure Too!
They're here! The blue carded Super7 Alien figures that you pre-ordered via the Early Bird Kit are shipping now and mine showed up today. The bonus sixth figure is a translucent grey Alien. It has silver highlights on his dome. Neither figure has glow-in-the-dark elements, or at least mine don't glow. The shipment also included 6 Alien figure stands which at first glance are identical to the ones from Comic-Con this year.
I literally just got these - and started this blog - minutes ago, so apologies for the slapdashness of everything.
The blue carded ones are no longer available, but you can order the black carded figures as a set at the links below at Entertainment Earth. I should note my black carded set came with the hang holes punched out, while the blue carded set arrived unpunched.
